BLVCK LOTVS is a San Diego-based tattoo studio redefining what a tattoo shop can be — a sanctuary for storytelling, healing, and transformation.

Founded by Dennis (Dizzy) Doan, BLVCK LOTVS is rooted in intentionality, cultural depth, and artistic excellence. Located in the heart of Convoy District, the studio serves as a creative bridge between tradition and modern identity, offering custom tattoos that reflect each client’s personal journey.

Originally operating under the names Guilty Pleasures Tattoo and Sinned Studio Tattoo in City Heights, the studio moved to Convoy Street in 2014, after Dennis was initially rejected from the area four years earlier due to lingering stigmas about tattooing. The rebrand into BLVCK LOTVS brought all artists under one roof to reflect a unified vision rooted in growth, resilience, and artistic elevation.

Beyond its tattoos, BLVCK LOTVS is a hub for mentorship, community engagement, and social impact. Every single artist at BLVCK LOTVS was once an apprentice under Dennis (Dizzy) Doan. The studio has hosted gang tattoo cover-up programs, collaborated with nonprofits, and helped launch initiatives like the Fresh Start Initiative to support individuals facing deportation or systemic barriers due to their tattoos.

At BLVCK LOTVS, every piece is a declaration of who you are, where you’ve been, and what you stand for.
