"Chorlton Wanderers September Group Ride
14th September
Goostrey Circular
42 miles
Our ride this month takes us to Goostrey via Wythenshawe, Styal Mill and Marthall. Lunch will be at the Space Invader in Goostrey which is halfway around the route https://thespaceinvaderpub.co.uk/. If there are a lot of us it might take a while before lunch is served,
After lunch we will head back via Toft, Knutsford, Tatton Park, Ashley and Timperley.
The majority of the ride is on roads suitable for all bikes and tyres but please do check your bike is in good working condition, especially breaks and tyres.
Meet at the Toilets at Chorlton Water Park at 10:00 for a 10:15 start.
Please note: There are no big hills, mostly undulating roads. We will have to dismount at Styal Mill and push/lift the bikes down some steps and up a short but steep hill, everyone managed to do this last year without a problem. There are a few miles of cycling on the Holmes Chapel Road leading into Knutsford, this road can be quite busy and the speed limit is 50 mph. Please dress for the weather."
