September 2026 Wonky China - Ryan Hass, Brookings
About this Event
On September 10th, we will begin our fourth season of Wonky China by looking ahead to the next Trump-Xi summit, scheduled for September 24th, and the future of the US-China relationship with Ryan Hass, Director of the John L. Thornton China Center at Brookings. Hass is the author of several books and articles on US policy challenges in East Asia, From 2013 to 2017, he served as the director for China, Taiwan and Mongolia at the National Security Council (NSC) staff. Prior to joining NSC, Hass served as a Foreign Service Officer in Beijing, Seoul, and Ulaanbaatar, and domestically in the State Department Offices of Taiwan Coordination and Korean Affairs.
Moderating will be Rosie Levine of the Wonky China Happy Hour team.
