When King Sejong designed Hangeul in 1446, he built a philosophy into every stroke, that dot and those two lines are still in every Korean vowel today.
In this 3-hour workshop, you'll learn that story, grind your own ink by hand, and write your own name on a hanging scroll you take home. No experience needed. Just patience and curiosity.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Learn the story behind Hangeul, grind your own ink, practice the foundational strokes of Korean calligraphy, and write your name on a traditional hanging scroll. Everything is provided.
INSTRUCTOR
Minah grew up in Seoul and studied illustration in Rotterdam. She now works as a children's book illustrator and shares her passion for Korean visual culture through workshops.
