Black cats and bats are stalking the night – be careful or you might give them a fright! Step into our annual Halloween Sensory Sunday, a sensory-friendly version of the History Center’s Trick or Treat Safe Zone. Themed activities and free trick-or-treating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Costumes are encouraged, and trick-or-treat bags will be provided.
Admission for Sensory Sundays is free through the support of Orlando Health Children's.
About Sensory Sunday
During Sensory Sunday we aim to provide a welcoming and comfortable experience for guests with autism spectrum disorder and sensory processing sensitivity. Accommodations include access to a social narrative to help plan your visit, lowered or muted audio in exhibits, and limited use of flashing or moving lights. We also provide access to noise-reducing earmuffs, fidget and sensory toys, a quiet space, and sensory-friendly activities throughout the museum to engage a wide variety of guests with hands-on history learning.
