The Center for Early Intervention on Deafness is hosting their 23rd annual walk-a-thon at Lake Merritt! Habitot will also be there providing fun, play, and exploration for this great event. Join us on Sunday, May 17 from 9:00am -1:00pm for hands on- sensory play, bubbles, STEM/maker activities, and mixed media art for ages 1-5, siblings welcome. Preference given for those pre-registered for timeslots. Walk-ins admitted with available space.
- Make giant hula hoop size bubbles while exploring the science of bubbles
- Squeeze and stretch our polka dot "slime" for sensory play
- Build sensory awareness and fine motor skills with our homemade playdough
- Create spring flowers or butterflies using watercolors
- Build and launch a handmade rocket 15 feet into the air with our Rocket Launcher
