We're excited to announce that for the fifth year in a row, ChildServe is the presenting sponsor for Sensory-Friendly Morning at the Iowa State Fair!
On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, families can enjoy a more inclusive fair experience with reduced sensory stimulation, providing a welcoming environment for individuals with autism, sensory sensitivities and other special healthcare needs.
From 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., select attractions and exhibits will offer a calmer atmosphere, allowing families to experience the sights, sounds and traditions of the Iowa State Fair in a way that works best for them. ChildServe's Calming Rooms, staffed by our occupational therapy teams, are available to help families take a break and recharge before heading out for more fair fun!
