Sensory-Friendly Family Movie
About this Event
Join Accessibility Services on Saturday, September 26th at 11 am for a sensory-friendly movie experience for children of all ages and their caregivers or families! The lights will be dimmed, closed captions displayed, and fidget activities are provided. Movies will be shown in the Switzer Library Community Room; doors open at 10:45am. Registration is required.
Maximum capacity for each movie showing is limited to 40 patrons to provide the most sensory friendly experience possible.
Due to the limited capacity, walk-ins are not guaranteed program entry.
*The department reserves the right to change/cancel the event due to holidays, other library events, or unforeseen circumstances. This change will be reflected on the Events page and via email as soon as possible.
Charlotte's Web (2006): In ordinary Somerset County, a young farm girl named Fern rescues the runt of a litter of pigs from her father's ax. Fern names the pig Wilbur, takes care of him, and continues to visit him every day after he is moved to her Uncle Homer Zuckerman's barn across the road. But it's Wilbur's friendship with Charlotte the spider that ultimately saves him from the "smoke house" when Charlotte's talent for weaving praiseworthy words about Wilbur into her web, along with a little help from Templeton the rat and the other barn inhabitants, turns the Zuckerman farm into a tourist attraction.
