Writer Kris Kneen has taken bodies, human and otherwise to wild and new forms. But how can you do the same in your own?
About this Event

Kris Kneen’s writing has taken readers through bodies that extrude blue slime, through to shapeshifting Tasmanian animals. And most places between.

In this free talk they ask what it means to truly experience our senses.

Their description of bodies takes the reader to the edge with radical creativity; a distinctive voice in literature today.

Imaginative and magical representations of corporeal forms shoot through most of their work, often using themselves as both inspiration and creative fuel.

Kris explains how we embody and experience this world through our human form.

Kris is an award-winning author of fiction, poetry, film and non-fiction writing. They have been shortlisted for many awards including the prestigious Stella Prize. Their poetry collection Eating My Grandmother won the Thomas Shapcott Prize. Their latest book, Rite of Spring is published by Transit Lounge.

This talk is part of the All the fires come alive exhibition events program.
