The integration of these three parts are designed for you to explore creativity and give you takeaway practices to use in your every day life, adding to your toolkit for ongoing resiliency.
Mindful movements are simple, inclusive movements, suitable for any level of flexibility and designed to engage you whether standing or seated. You will be skillfully guided through a mindfulness exercise moving towards stillness and opening your heart to embrace the present with kindness and curiosity. Creative activities will feature experts in particular fields.
Starts May 1st, Wednesday 6-7:30pm and then every Wed throughout May. Limited spaces for optimal experiences.
Workshop 1: Touch
Starting with a movement session emphasizing energy movement through the body, a mindfulness practice to support self compassion and then introduce self-massage practices. You will be guided through the practice, emphasizing the soothing touch and the warmth of the oil as a method to ground themselves in the present moment, enhancing bodily awareness and self-compassion.
Workshop 2: Taste 5/8
Following a series to release neck and head tension, you will be guided through a practice on gratitude then into an interactive session around herbal teas, their uses and tastes. Explore the healing powers of teas, infusion and deconctions by exploring the flavors, textures, and sensations, and connecting deeply with the act of nourishment.
Workshop 3: Sound 5/15
Begin with gentle movement through mindful full body stretches aimed at releasing physical tension, followed by a mindfulness practice focusing on the sounds of breath and body. Immerse yourself in a sound bath experience, with crystal and singing bowls, chimes, and other instruments. Experience the healing vibrations, facilitating deep relaxation and a sense of inner peace.
Workshop 4: Smell 5/22
Starting with a restorative movement relax the body, paired with breathing exercises in mindfulness practice. We will explore hydrosols as the magic way of distilling powerful essences of plants. Learn how different scents can evoke memories, emotions, and influence well-being.
Workshop 5: Sight 5/29
After a series of balance-focused movement and a mindfulness exercise centered around observing the mind, shifting to an internal visualization meditation. Then engage in an artist guided creative art creation in a free flowing, exercise to create visual representations of your own personal intentions.
