About this Event

City representatives will be available to explain the Senior Freeze Program, answer questions, review eligibility requirements, and help eligible residents complete and submit their applications.

What is Senior Freeze?
The Senior Freeze Program reimburses eligible homeowners for certain increases in their property taxes by comparing the taxes paid in a qualifying base year with the taxes paid in the current year.

Residents can also learn more about other available New Jersey property tax relief programs, including:
ANCHOR — Provides property tax relief to eligible New Jersey homeowners and renters.
Stay NJ — Provides additional property tax relief for eligible New Jersey seniors.

Residents seeking application assistance are encouraged to bring relevant documents, including
- Proof of age or disability
- Recent property tax bills
- Income documentation
- Social Security information
- Prior Senior Freeze applications or determination letters.

This session is free and open to Jersey City residents. Registration is encouraged.
