Senior Brunch and Learn: National Center for Civil and Human Rights

Join your fellow Georgia State senior alumni for the next installment of our Senior Brunch & Learn series, an engaging experience designed for alumni 55+ that combines cultural exploration, connection, and learning.

For this special gathering, we will visit the reimagined , the iconic center, founded to honor the legacy of the U.S. Civil Rights Movement and connect it to global human rights struggles today.

Attendees will enjoy a time to connect with fellow panthers, guided tour of the museum, followed by a catered brunch and engaging program, including remarks from NCCHR's Senior Director of Education, Nicole A. Moore, and Professor Elizabeth J. West, Academic Director of .

Senior Brunch & Learn events are designed to foster community, lifelong learning, and meaningful engagement among alumni while highlighting the vibrant cultural and intellectual life of Atlanta.

Tickets are $35 per person and include:

• Admission to the museum

• Catered brunch

• Event programming and speaker

Guests will park in the World of Coca Cola parking deck (not the GA Aquarium) lot and follow signs around the outside of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights to the lower level pre-function lobby to check in.

Schedule:

10:00 a.m. – Guests check-in opens in Lower Level Pre-Function area

10:10 a.m. – The guided tour through the museum begins

11:40 a.m. – Tour concludes and guest move to Glenn B

11:50 a.m. – Guests begin lining up for the buffet lunch

12:10 p.m. – Featured speaker from National Center for Civil and Human Rights, Nicole A. Moore, Sr. Director of Education

12:30 p.m. – Featured speaker from Georgia State University's Center for Studies on Africa and Its Diaspora, Academic Director, Elizabeth J. West

12:50 p.m. – Prize drawing and closing remarks

1:00 p.m. – Event concludes

This event is open to everyone. The venue is wheelchair and motorized scooter accessible. All guests attending this event must purchase a ticket.
