The programme is cited on page 27 of the 2026 White Paper: Every Child Achieving and Thriving, as one of the Government’s key CPD provision for all teachers and leaders.
Programme Aims:
- Ensuring that all children receive quality first teaching based on the latest research into how children learn to read
- Evidence-based solutions for the current attainment gap between pupils with SEND and underachieving pupil groups and their typically developing peers
- The guiding principles of teaching SEND in mainstream schools
- Understanding children’s needs; ensuring access to learning
- Adaptive teaching to use in class
- Leading reading; high expectations for every child
Aimed at: Primary English Leads, EYFS and KS1 teachers and SENDCos.
Delegates are expected to attend all three sessions and complete gap tasks.
