Are you looking for a supportive, understanding space to reflect on your parenting journey and strengthen your relationship with your child?
The Nurturing Programme is a friendly, evidence-informed 12-week course designed to help parents and carers build confidence, develop practical strategies, and better understand children’s behaviour and emotional needs.
Delivered in a relaxed and welcoming environment, the programme explores key themes such as communication, emotional regulation, boundaries, and positive discipline—all grounded in a nurturing approach that supports both parents and children to thrive.
Each weekly session lasts two hours, giving you time to reflect, learn, and connect with others at a comfortable pace. The course is carefully planned to run over 12 weeks, with breaks during school holidays, making it manageable for families.
We begin with an informal coffee morning, providing a gentle and friendly opportunity for everyone to meet, get to know one another, and settle into the group before the structured sessions begin.
Our experienced facilitators bring a wealth of professional knowledge, including extensive work with children and young people with disabilities and additional needs. This ensures the course is inclusive, understanding, and reflective of the diverse experiences of families. We recognise that every child is unique and aim to provide practical tools that can be adapted to suit your child’s individual needs.
We understand that joining a new group can feel daunting. If you are feeling anxious about attending, you are very welcome to bring along a friend, relative, or support worker for the first sessions until you feel more comfortable.
Whether you’re facing specific challenges or simply want to feel more confident in your parenting, this course offers a safe space to share experiences, learn alongside others, and feel supported, without judgement.
