About this Event
Citizen's Academy: Get to know how your County government works with the Seminole County Citizen’s Academy! This series of department-specific open house events offers residents an inside look at essential County services. Attend 4 of the 6 Citizen’s Academy events and receive a Seminole County-branded water bottle, helping you reduce waste here in “Florida’s Natural Choice.”
Who: Families and residents of all ages are invited!

Saturday, April 12, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. (this is the only Saturday event running until 2 p.m.)
Fire Station 11, 2721 S. Ronald Reagan Blvd., Altamonte Springs
Kids and families can view fire trucks and try on rescue equipment. Then, watch live demonstrations to see how firefighters and paramedics respond to emergencies in the community. - Economic Development and Tourism

Seminole County Animal Services, 232 Eslinger Way, Sanford
Learn how the County helps keep residents and their pets safe during the Emergency Management open house at the animal shelter. Pet the adoptable dogs and cats from Animal Services then learn about 911 administration and emergency response coordination. - Parks and Recreation
