My background is primarily in obedience training, focusing on high-energy working breeds like border collies. I recently achieved a World Championship title with my dog, Maze, which was a journey combining precise technique with a deep understanding of his emotions and motivations. While technique is essential, I believe that connecting emotionally with each dog truly drives their enthusiasm and consistent performance.
Before Maze, I worked with a Golden Retriever from a working line, and I successfully brought him to Class 3. He was a great teacher for me, and his training taught me a lot that I carry into my current work. At my training field, I now work with a variety of breeds and students, including Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Labradors, Australian and German Shepherds, and Jack Russells, adapting my methods to fit each breed's unique traits and needs.
