Workshop Description:Parents play a crucial role as a support system forpeople with disabilities. They are often the primaryadvocates, caregivers, and emotional anchors for theirchildren or loved ones with disabilities.In many cases, parents are also part of a broader supportnetwork that includes extended family, friends, andprofessionals, but their role remains central andirreplaceable in the well-being of individuals withdisabilities.Grounded on the principles of person-centredapproaches and Social Role Valorization, thiscomprehensive training program aims to create arespected and valued support network who workalongside people with intellectual and developmentaldisabilities to support and empower them to live rich, fulland meaningful lives.Please join us as we introduce participants to deeperunderstanding of disability through person-centeredconnections and empowering parents to support thepersons with disabilities to access the good things of lifethrough positive social roles.Please Note: A nominal registration fees of Rs.500/- willbe charged to participants interested in this workshops.
