In celebration of Juneteenth, join ULBCYPN in collaboration with the American Jewish Committee for a meaningful cultural experience at the African American Research Library and Cultural Center as we explore “Selma Is Now: The Photography of Spider Martin.”
This powerful exhibit captures the courage, resilience, and unity that shaped the Civil Rights Movement through newly restored photography documenting the historic Selma marches and the fight for voting rights in America.
The exhibit also highlights an important part of history that is often overlooked: the collaboration between Black leaders and Jewish allies who stood together in the pursuit of justice, equality, and civil rights.
As we reflect on the legacy of Selma and the continued importance of civic engagement and collective advocacy, attendees will have the opportunity to:
