Self-Healing Tincture Workshop

Join us on Sunday, June 13th from 11-12:30 pm for a deep-dive into the fascinating world of self -healing through herbal tinctures.

Tinctures are concentrated herbal extracts made by soaking the bark, berries, leaves (dried or fresh), or roots from one or more plants in substrates. Their powerful medicinal properties are used in treating a wide variety of medical conditions including anxiety, pain, sleep, inflammation, energy, arthritis, nausea & healing wounds... just to name a few.

Dr. Therese Walsh-Van Keuren will be guiding us through techniques for making our own tinctures from 6 – 10 herbs utilizing substrates to pull out the active ingredients & concentrating them into a liquid to take home & use. The workshop covers how to choose your herbs, substrates for tinctures using three spirits, techniques for burning off the alcohol, maceration technique, pulverizing or muddling the plant material, timing, dosing & labeling.

• 1/ Single ticket is $40

• 2 /Couple ticket, is $70

All tincture making supplies are provided for a take home sample. Lite vegetarian snacks with beverages are included. Participants are welcome to bring their own wine & food if they would like to share or picnic on the grounds afterwards.

The workshop takes places outdoors surrounded by the beautiful Grange garden & fruit orchard. Event gets postponed, (or refunds offered), in the event of rain.

Dr. Therese Walsh-Van Keuren is licensed in Acupuncture and Herbology by the Medical Board of CA. and received her Ph.D. from the American University of Complementary Medicine in the department of Classical Chinese Medicine.
