This workshop is a great way to prepare for those rough days ahead. You will learn paint basics, mark-making, collage and decoupage techniques, embellishment how-tos, and self-care skills. Participants will go home with a meaningful one-of-a-kind self-care treasure box.This workshop is appropriate for those ages 18 and up.
About the Instructor:
Neena (she/her) is a mixed-media artist who has been teaching trauma-informed art workshops, retreats, paint-along parties, kids art classes, and Lego Camps for 10 years. Over the years, she has partnered with drug/alcohol treatment facilities, Army and Marine Sexual Assault Response Divisions, the VA, local hospitals, religious communities, nonprofits working with the homeless and pregnant teen populations, and been a guest panelist speaking on the creativity+wellbeing connection with Wounded Warriors. Neena loves incorporating recycled materials into her workshops as a way to reduce cost and make a positive impact on the planet. She is a single mom to a special needs teen and 4-legged Yorkie, and loves glitter!
