About this Event
We are excited to offer the Discovering Watersheds through Experiential Learning teacher training this fall, with support from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Bay Watershed Education and Training (B-WET) program! This two day teacher training will lead you through SEI’s Watersheds and Public Water Systems Curriculum. We will cover content and skills to engage your students in a hands-on exploration of their watershed and public water system through activities including water quality testing and ArcGIS mapping.
Training Details
Day 1 - Saturday, October 23rd
Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Location: The San Francisco County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco
Day 2 - Saturday, November 6th
Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm
Location: Virtual
High school teachers at schools in Marin, San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, Sonoma, Mendocino, Humboldt, Del Norte, or Trinity County are eligible to attend at no cost. Teachers who participate in the SEI Discovering Watersheds through Experiential Learning training program will receive a stipend, La Motte water quality testing kits and ongoing instructional planning support from the SEI team.
