About this Event

Primary Science for a Sustainable World Conference 2026 (SEERIH working in partnership with URENCO)

We invite teachers to Manchester on 12th November for our full-day conference, which will focus on increasing primary science teacher confidence and understanding in:

  • Improving teacher confidence in science learning and enquiry
  • Developing pupils’ critical thinking in science and relating learning to issues about sustainability
  • Developing oracy, collaboration and functional skills when learning primary science concepts

This is an exciting opportunity to enhance your primary science teaching and learning inspired by international and national speakers. The morning will focus on different inputs that will help science subject leaders with how we can contextualise our lessons with the idea of sustainability in our changing world. In addition, a marketplace, where teachers can discover resources, and approaches can support you to make your curriculum purposeful.

At a time when we have a new curriculum due for release and we think about the world around us and think about how to embed sustainability education, this conference offers you some tangible ways to make a difference.
