About this Event
About the Exhibition:
This body of work comes from time spent in Cuba—walking the streets, sitting with people, paying attention. I wasn’t there to chase perfect images. I was there to experience what was in front of me. What I found was a place full of contrast. Beautifully worn buildings standing with quiet dignity. Children playing freely in the streets. People moving through daily life with a presence, a pride, and a spirit that stayed with me long after I left.
There is struggle there. You can see it. You can feel it. But that’s not the whole story. What stood out to me was the richness of the people—the way they hold joy, community, and culture in the middle of it all. The way life continues, fully and honestly. From the streets of Havana to the calm of Viñales and Consolación del Sur, to the rhythm and reflection along the Malecón, these images are not just about a place. They are about presence. About resilience. About beauty that doesn’t disappear just because things are hard. This exhibition is my way of honoring what I witnessed. Not to explain Cuba. But to share how it felt to be there.
