Seeking Rents + Welcome to Florida: Live Meet & Greet (St. Pete)

Veteran investigative reporter Jason Garcia, legendary environmental journalist Craig Pittman, and radio personality Chadd Scott are teaming up for a first-time, live and in-person event.

Garcia is the publisher of Seeking Rents, a newsletter and podcast that exposes the many ways in which Big Business and other special interests influence public policy in Florida. Pittman and Scott are the co-hosts of Welcome to Florida, where they explore the state’s history, people, politics, environment, animals, current events and general weirdness.

The meet-and-greet will feature a question-and-answer sessions in which Jason, Craig, and Chadd will discuss some of the most important issues facing Florida right now. But it will also be an opportunity for them and their readers and listeners to spend some time together in real life, to get to know each other a bit better — and, hopefully, make a few new friends along the way.

The event will be held at Tombolo Books in St. Petersburg on Thursday evening, May 7, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. There will be a $5 door charge to cover staffing costs.
