About this Event
“Seeing The Invisible”: A Closeup Magic Night with Chad Allen in the PRS Library
Please join us in the gorgeous and mysterious PRS Library for two very special closeup magic performances by Chad Allen, a multidisciplinary artist who happens to be blind. As a world-class magician, he has appeared on the TV series Penn & Teller: Fool Us and America's Got Talent, and he performs regularly at the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. Chad is a speaker and presenter for nationally acclaimed organizations such as: The National Federation of the Blind, The Adventurer’s Club, and the Exploratorium Museum in San Francisco.
Chad is also the creator of the audio comic book series UNSEEN, which was prominently featured at the Exploratorium Museum as a part their exhibit on identity titled Self, Made. He speaks about the need to reframe people’s misconceptions about the disability experience once and for all, most recently as this year's San Diego Comic-Con. “You don’t see art with the eyes. You see with the brain, and that’s what I’m trying to show more than anything.”
