Seed Swap
About this Event
Join fellow gardeners and plant enthusiasts for a Seed Swap! This free event invites gardeners of all ages and experience levels to share seeds, stories, and ideas, and learn more about gardening in the Florida Keys.
Participants will have the opportunity to exchange seeds, learn about seed saving, explore a variety of vegetables, herbs, flowers, and native plants, and connect with others who share an interest in gardening and sustainable food systems.
While participants are encouraged to bring seeds, this is not required.
To help keep seeds organized and useful for everyone, please package seeds in small envelopes, paper packets, or sealed containers. Each package should be clearly labeled with the plant name and, if known, the variety, harvest year, and any growing notes. Bring only clean, dry seeds that are free of pests, disease, and debris. Commercial seed packets, unopened or partially used, are also welcome.
Whether you're an experienced seed saver or planting your very first garden, everyone is welcome!
UF/IFAS Master Gardener Volunteers will be available to answer gardening questions and provide advice.
What to Bring:
- Seeds you've collected, saved, or simply have extra packets to share
- Envelopes or containers for collecting new seeds (optional)
- Gardening questions, tips, and stories
See you there!
