Harvesting seeds is a cost-efficient and exciting way to increase the number of plants in your garden. Learn the best techniques forcollecting and storing seeds produced by our native trees, shrubs, and perennials. Following a brief lecture, participants will head out to the gardens for some hands-on seed collecting. Take home samples from Mt. Cuba Center’s gardens. (Class size is limited.)
This program takes place in-person (at Mt. Cuba Center) Wednesday, October 6 (Rain Date: Wednesday, October 13)
About the Instructor:
Shelby French oversees plant propagation, wild collections, and various research projects as the Propagation Manager at Mt. Cuba. She earned a degree in Entrepreneurship from Delaware Technical Community College and is a 2002 graduate of Longwood Gardens’ Professional Gardener Program.
