Security Responder - Use of Force Certification

Responder Use of Force is an 8-hour, professionally developed training program designed to prepare Security Professionals for the safe, lawful, and effective application of physical intervention skills. Grounded in the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and the Ontario Use of Force Model, this course emphasizes proportionality, articulation, decision-making, and injury prevention.

Participants will learn defensive tactics, redirection strategies, takedowns, handcuffing, communication skills, and lawful authority — all taught by security professionals for security professionals.

To support safe application of techniques, the course integrates essential Fit2Protect™ readiness drills to reduce injury, improve movement efficiency, and ensure participants can confidently perform skills under pressure.

This training is ideal for new and experienced guards seeking certification, improved safety performance, and enhanced operational readiness.
