Escape to the 1920s, where for a night, liquor is unlawful and run by gangsters behind closed doors. As the well-known crime bosses of Chicago gather at a private party in the country, enter the Yellow Barn to uncover the hidden secrets at the Creek.
Join us and help solve a murder with the others at your table in groups of eight. Less than eight guests? Don't worry—it's a great opportunity to meet new people! Enjoy a night of craft cocktails and a mystery to unfold. Come dressed in era attire and capture glamorous photographs in our themed photobooth.
Reservations are $100 per person and include:
- A four-course meal
- A 1920s-inspired welcome cocktail (non-alcoholic options available; please indicate on your reservation), with additional cocktails available for purchase
- An interactive murder mystery experience performed by the Murder Mystery Company of Chicago, IL

Enhance your night with a reservation in our restaurant's speakeasy cellar before dinner at 4 PM. Guests with this upgrade will enjoy:
A pre-dinner cocktail in the ambiance of our exclusive, Prohibition-style cellar (to be purchased the night of)
The chance to solve a riddle leading to the secret entrance of the event—a unique experience reserved for those who dine in the cellar beforehand. (All other guests will solve a riddle at a different entrance.)
Prior to the event, guests will receive a secret message with details encoded in an invitation, instructions, and summary. 1920s-themed attire is admired but not required—though you can count on us to be donning the era’s best dress. Enjoy classic cocktails with a twist crafted by our in-house bartender.
Venue Guidelines and Limitations:
We encourage groups to book a table together. You will not be charged until the event concludes, at which time tickets can be split among guests.
Cancellations within 24 hours of the event will result in an automatic charge to your card.
Outside food and drink are NOT permitted.
Guests requiring ADA accommodations or with dietary restrictions/allergies should contact us in advance so we can make proper arrangements.
This event is “21 and over only.” All guests must present valid ID for entry.
Parties of up to 8 can be accommodated at one table. Smaller parties may be seated with another group to solve the murder together.

*We require a credit card to hold your reservation in line with our cancellation policy, but charges will be processed the night of the event in standard restaurant fashion.
