Secret Trails: Sampad Summer School

Presented by Sampad South Asian Arts and Heritage, this summer we invite young people to step into a week of stories, surprises and shared adventure at Secret Trails, a 4-day immersive programme for children aged 8–12 at Midlands Arts Centre.

Across the week, children will work with Sampad’s artists as they step into role as a team of young detectives, following a mystery that unfolds day by day. Set within the scenic surroundings of Cannon Hill Park, each trail, task and unexpected encounter draws them deeper into a carefully crafted story brought to life through their ideas, creativity and teamwork.

Throughout the week, participants will:

• meet intriguing characters and respond to unexpected encounters
• follow clues and take on creative challenges across indoor and outdoor spaces
• work together to uncover secrets and solve a developing mystery
• explore ideas through dance, drama, music and visual art
• build confidence, collaboration and creative thinking

By the end of the week, they will have unravelled the mystery, overcome each obstacle and helped bring the story to its final resolution.
