No Hungry Neighbors
A musical fundraiser to support Potrero Hill's Food Pantry
The Food Pantry is an all-volunteer organization which nourishes hundreds of SF households and is struggling to meet the challenges of these times
We are celebrating 25 years making us not only one of the longest operating food pantries, but also one of the very largest in San Francisco! When we launched our program in 2000, we served only 35 families...now we serve over 500 households + dozens of unhoused~SROs each Saturday at our weekly food distribution. We are a 100% volunteer driven organization. The Food Pantry isn’t funded by the church where we are located in Potrero Hill or by grants, but is supported by an all-volunteer staff and donations from individuals and small businesses, along with partnerships from the SFM Food Bank & Extra Food. We're proud of the way that our community has responded in these challenging times and are always in need of more support to help those facing food insecurity.
Our mission of The Food Pantry at St. Gregory of Nyssa Church, San Francisco, transcends any political or social divisions. We operate with one fundamental truth: every one of our neighbors needs nourishment to survive and thrive. Our work is guided by a set of core values that are rooted in our collective belief in the inherent dignity of all people-regardless of race, religion, beliefs, background, or circumstances.
