Escape the city and take your mountain adventures to the next level on this immersive wild camping skills weekend in the rugged and beautiful Mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia). Over two days, you learn the core skills needed for safe and responsible wild camping in the UK mountains while journeying through one of Wales’ wildest upland landscapes. You travel deep into the wilderness carrying everything needed for the weekend, learning practical mountain skills along the way including campcraft, route planning, mountain safety, equipment selection, navigation, and how to choose and set up a safe wild camp. Remote mountain scenery, sweeping ridges, dramatic valleys, and a genuine sense of adventure far from roads and towns. This is a practical and hands on weekend designed for beginners and developing hillwalkers looking to build confidence in the mountains.

• Train travel to and from Llandudno Junction railway station • Taxi transfers between station and trailhead • Food and snacks for the weekend • Personal hiking and camping equipment • Personal spending money • Alcohol or additional personal items

⛰️ Grade

Intermediate Approximately 12 to 16 km over the weekend carrying a full wild camping backpack in mountainous terrain. Expect: • 4 to 7 hours hiking per day • Mountain ascents and descents • Rough, uneven, and sometimes boggy terrain • Exposure to mountain weather conditions • Carrying full camping equipment, food, and water

What to bring: • Full hiking and wild camping equipment • Food for the entire weekend • Water bottles and snacks • Suitable mountain clothing and waterproofs • Backpack capable of carrying camping equipment
