Every antique has been somewhere before it got to the shelf.

That pocket watch kept time for somebody. That brooch went to weddings, and maybe a few funerals. That old key opened a door that might not even exist anymore. The people are gone, but the objects stick around, and they hold on to more than you'd think.

Psychometry is the practice of reading an object's energy through touch: who owned it, what it went through, and what it still carries. It's one of the most natural ways to start working with your intuition, and it's a lot of fun to do in a room full of antiques.

Spend an evening at Chico's Antiques learning how it works, then try it yourself. You'll pick up real pieces from the shop, tune in, and see what comes through. No experience needed. If you've ever walked into a store and felt drawn to one thing for no reason you could explain, you're already partway there.

What you'll do

• Learn what psychometry is and how psychics use it
• Get simple techniques for tuning in to an object
• Practice on real antiques in a relaxed, supportive group
• Share what you picked up and see how it lines up

• Feel free to bring a small item with a story you know. Something inherited works great.

Your host

Kelly Kristin is a psychic medium, psychic investigator and teacher. She trained under internationally renowned medium Tony Stockwell, who also trained her as a Master Teacher, and studied mediumship and psychic investigation at Arthur Findlay College in England. Her first psychic experience was a dream of her late father coming to say goodbye, and she's been paying attention ever since.

Before this work, Kelly spent about 30 years as a teacher, so her classes are hands-on, down-to-earth and built for real beginners. She works missing persons and cold cases with families and teaches psychic investigation through Third Eye Sleuth. She's now based in Port Orchard.
