Join us at the Betty Mae Kramer Gallery & Music Room on the second Wednesday of each month for an evening of jazz! This month's artists feature pianist and vocalist Amy K Bormet and vocalist Jessica Boykin-Settles.

Admission is FREE but advanced registration is required due to limited capacity.

Jazz at the Kramer is presented by Paul Carr's Jazz Academy of Music in partnership with the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County and curated by Paul Carr.

Amy K Bormet

Amy K Bormet is a pianist, vocalist, and composer. As creator, producer and performer for the Washington Women in Jazz Festival, now in its 13th year, she has collaborated with Fay Victor, Mary Halvorson, Allison Miller, and more than 75 women and non-binary musicians from around the globe.

Jessica Boykin-Settles

Jessica Boykin-Settles attended the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Washington, DC under the tutelage of saxophonist and jazz educator, Davey Y. Yarborough. She earned a BFA in Jazz Performance at New School University in NYC where she studied with musicians and jazz legends such as Reggie Workman, Junior Mance, Arnie Lawrence, Buster Williams, Sheila Jordan and Teri Thornton. Jessica continued her education at Howard University where she earned a Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies. While there, she was a member of the premier vocal jazz ensemble Afro Blue, under the direction of Connaitre Miller. She is currently on faculty at Georgetown University.
