Looking for a meaningful way to spend your Saturday morning?

Join us on the second Saturday of each month for a fun, hands-on volunteer workday at the Extension gardens. We'll kick off each event with a short educational session, then work together to care for the grounds, demonstration gardens, pollinator habitats, and other outdoor learning spaces used by our community.

No gardening experience is required.

Whether you're a seasoned gardener, interested in learning new skills, need volunteer hours, or simply want to spend time outdoors with good people, we'd love to have you join us.

What to Expect

Each event includes:

🌿 30-minute educational workshop
🌿 Guided volunteer activities
🌿 Hands-on gardening experience
🌿 Opportunities to learn sustainable landscape practices
🌿 A welcoming, community-focused environment

Please Bring

• Work gloves
• Gardening tools, if you have them
• Closed-toe shoes
• Water bottle
• Sun protection

Limited shared tools may be available, but bringing your own helps us accomplish more. Donations are welcomed.

Age Requirements

• Open to participants ages 14 and older.
• Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian present.
• Participants under 14 must be registered with 4-H.

Volunteer Participation Notice

This is an outdoor volunteer activity involving gardening and landscape maintenance. Participants may be exposed to heat, insects, uneven terrain, soil, plants, allergens, and the use of hand tools.

By registering and participating, attendees acknowledge these inherent risks and agree to participate voluntarily and at their own discretion. Participants are responsible for wearing appropriate clothing and footwear and for working within their personal abilities and limitations.
