These drop-in mini lessons are inspired by the animals in the Delta Dental Play Garden and hosted by the Huron-Clinton Metroparks.
June 13th Description (Beaver day):
Slide down the beaver slide at the playground and make your way to our science tent to learn all about beavers. Families can touch real beaver fur and build a beaver lodge.
July 11th Description (Largemouth Bass day):
Crawl through the largemouth bass tunnel at the playground and make your way to our science tent to learn all about largemouth bass. Families can view a fresh caught fish from the Detroit River and try their hand at Gyotaku, a Japanese fish printing art.
August 8th Description (Fox day):
Climb down from the red fox tunnel at the playground and make your way to our science tent to learn all about the red fox. Families can touch real red fox fur and test their sense of hearing against that of a fox.
