This month's guest vocalist is Sidney Jacobs, a jazz vocalist, songwriter, arranger, and producer — and the newest member of the legendary group The 5th Dimension. Known for his inventive spirit and soulful delivery, Sidney blends elements of bop, R&B, swing, and the Great American Songbook into a sound that’s both modern and timeless.

His acclaimed 2017 album First Man received national radio play on over 100 stations and earned rave reviews from critics, drawing comparisons to greats like Gregory Porter, Bobby McFerrin, and Lou Rawls. With his upcoming release If I Were Your Woman, Sidney continues to expand his creative range — crafting daring, heartfelt music that resonates deeply with audiences.

A performer praised for his originality, range, and “lyrical heart,” Sidney brings an unforgettable warmth and sophistication to every performance — the perfect centerpiece for December’s Second Saturday Jazz at Vitello’s.

The Outrageous8 features an all-star lineup of LA’s top musicians, including custom arrangements by Harry Smallenburg and Rocky Davis, and music direction by Sam Morgan, son of touring legend David Morgan (Three Dog Night). From Grammy-winning sidemen to jazz veterans who’ve played with The Rolling Stones, Cher, and the Honeydrippers—this group brings heat, history, and serious chops to the stage.

Angela O’Neill, a UCLA Theater Arts alum and former classical oboist, has produced hundreds of shows with The Outrageous8. A versatile performer, she’s sung jazz, country, and rock, and currently sings with multiple 18-piece big bands. Angela is also the driving force behind Outrageous8 Records, which she launched five years ago, producing six albums for the band and additional projects for bandmates Paul Litteral and Ron Cyger.
