May Topic: Democratic Systems at a Crossroad
2024 is one of the biggest years for elections globally – with at least 70 countries holding an election. Each country faces their own unique set of challenges to their democratic institutions and ideals – including the United States. In a year when democracy is considered top of the ballot after a global decline in democracy globally, it’s important to reflect on how we got here. Will democracy win globally in 2024 – and what’s at stake if it doesn’t?
This is a no-homework event, but supplemental articles will be provided to attendees.
