We are planning a gathering and celebration of the life of Rachel Rhodes to coincide with her Memorial services in France.
To honor her joyous and exuberant life, we've decided to start with a "Second Line" parade meeting on my street and walking around the corner to Brewtorium's Beer Garden (about 15 minute walk--mostly on a sidewalk).
The plan:
-Dress colorfully, bring signs of our love for Rachel to show as we process, bring noisemakers, colorful umbrellas, juggling balls?, whatever you'd like to make this a walk to honor her memory best. We're working on having musicians to help dance us over there.
-Please arrive early enough to park near Brewtorium and walk to my street. We've been offered a nice cut-through access by one of my neighbors. So, park near Brewtorium and walk South towards the fences. One will be open, we'll have a sign and greeter to mark the way over to Skyview Rd.
-We'll convene at 5:45pm and start the processional at 6pm. So please allow enough time to park and walk to Skyview Rd.
-We've reserved space in the beer garden outside at Brewtorium. We'll have separate tabs. Brewtorium has awesome drinks and food.
Please let us know if you'd like to plan a speech or other presentation at the memorial gathering. It can be casual and impromptu or more organized. It's really just meant for us to get together to celebrate the life of our dear friend.
