Second City Sonic Attack Returns: Seven Hours of DIY Experimental Electronica in DigbethBIRMINGHAM, UK — Underground collective New Weird Birmingham and Kushikatsu unite to unleash Second City Sonic Attack #3: Electronic Edition, an all‑day deep dive into DIY experimental electronica. Taking over Centrala, Digbeth on Saturday 17 October 2026, this seven‑hour festival champions the strange, the boundary‑pushing and the fiercely independent.
A Convergence of the Underground
Sonic Attack’s mission remains unwavering: create a space where the weird thrives and independence leads the charge. This third edition brings together eight artists from both Birmingham and across the UK, spanning glitch‑techno, kosmische explorations, psychedelic electronics and raw, improvised noise. Expect an immersive journey through the outer edges of electronic sound!
The Brum Brigade:
- Cries from the LTN: Psychedelia, krautrock and techno collide, shaped by Birmingham’s brutalist sprawl.
- Sons of Geometry: Deep‑dive improvisation through modular synthesis.
- Chromatouch: Audio‑visual experimentation, custom instruments and evolving interactive tech.
- By Bizarre Hands: Industrial textures, hauntological electronics and sonic reflections on local history.
