Since 1973, Sponsors has provided transformative wrap-around supportive services for people reentering our community after being incarcerated. Many of the individuals served by Sponsors would otherwise be released to homelessness and without support, would wind up back in prison. Sponsors helps people avoid returning to prison by offering: Transitional and permanent housing, mental health counseling, employment coaching, parenting classes, mentorship, housing for women with children and more. Each year, Sponsors helps around 1,000 individuals releasing from Oregon correctional institutions, to make a successful reentry, which in turn helps communities become safer and more just for all.
