About this Event

What is QUIRK+?

Essentially, it's a day of talks by students, for an audience of students, organised by students.

Ever wanted to learn about black holes? Philosophy of physics? The physics of coffee?! You can learn about all of that, and much, much more. Join us at the second annual QUIRK+ conference!

We began last year, with universities all around London. Now, we've expanded to universities all across England, and even some in Europe. We've also expanded to two separate days, due to sheer popularity. The first is in King's, on the 31st of January, and the second is in Cambridge on the 14th of February. Tickets are free for both, but limited, so hurry!

The day starts at 10:00, and is filled by sequential sets of concurrent talks (so you choose which to go to, at a given hour). Lunch will be provided, and there'll be opportunities to explore careers in physics with workshops provided by one of our sponsors, Quantinuum.

This link is specifically for the part at Cambridge. If you want to register to attend King's, follow this link https://QuirkPlusAtKings.eventbrite.co.uk

See the attached images for the itinerary. See the attached images for the itinerary (the timing for any given talk is subject to change).

If you have any questions, have a look at the FAQ below; or contact us through your physics society; or at [email protected] or [email protected].

Sponsored by the IOP and Quantinuum.
