This is the second annual DeKalb Day of the Dead event. If you missed last year, no worries...You and your family can participate in the Welcoming Ceremony and Procession as we honor of those who have passed.
You will be able to gaze upon the elaborate and traditional ofrendas created by individuals from the DeKalb community.
You can stop by WNIJ-HOLA and describe what Day of the Dead means to you. Share your story, your families story, or what today has taught you.
You can watch Ballet Folklorico Nueva GeneraciĆ³n de RTHS glide across the stage presenting traditional Mexican dances.
You can view the community Ofrenda at El Jimador as they provide an altar for members of our community to share photos of those who have passed.
You can stop by Create Health Mobility Clinic and make paper flowers to place on your alter at home.
These are some events that will be returning this year. As the Agenda unfolds we will be sure to update you.
