The Age-Friendly Summit Conference is back for participants to explore how they can thrive through the years. The Summit is an opportunity for older adults to connect and learn about resources and services available to them as they age. Now in its second installment, the Summit is hosted by Age-Friendly Buncombe County. The all-day event includes keynote presentations, breakout sessions, and breakfast and lunch will be provided. The cost is $20 per attendee plus an online transaction fee.
The aging conference provides actionable ideas and resources for older adults, caregivers, and professionals – from supportive community-based services for older adults to active lifestyles and social connections.
Everyone deserves to live healthfully and purposefully as life spans have increased, and this year’s theme is Health Span Matters: Thriving Across the Years, exploring themes such as healthy aging, enhancing personal health, and staying connected. Participants will also get to meet providers whose services benefit older adults.
