SECC Youth Leadership Convention 2026
About this Event
Southeastern California Conference’s (SECC) annual Youth Leadership Convention focuses on equipping children's, youth, young adult, and club ministry leaders by creating opportunities for them to grow and thrive in their ministries. We wish to empower leaders who call upon young people to engage in relevant issues of our time in a spirit of learning and love for Jesus Christ.
Leadership Convention Details
Kick off the new ministry year with us at the SECC Youth Leadership Convention—a weekend designed to help every age-based ministry leader connect, worship, and experience growth in leadership so you can thrive where God has placed you.
We are offering breakout sessions through five tracks: Adventurers, Pathfinders, Children & Family Ministries, Youth & Young Adult Ministries, and "Growing Together 2026," which teaches the new features and model of our intergenerational conference curriculum. Attendants will choose their breakouts during registration and are allowed to choose breakouts from different tracks.
Our 2026 theme is “Follow the Leader”—to point us to our core value: Jesus. We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Saul Barcelo (LLU School of Religion) as our keynote speaker for the weekend. He and his wife Susie have 3 fantastic kids and are actively engaged in our community. As a former pastor, chaplain, professor and parent he has a unique perspective for us as we lead in our churches!

Registration Process
The cost to attend the Convention is $65. Please take advantage of our Early Bird rate of $35 will be available through June 15. Should space remain, registration less than three weeks from the Convention will cost $95. Ticket is for Friday & Saturday (no Sabbath only pass). Children are not allowed to attend the event, aside from high school aged ministry leaders who attend with an adult church leader. Priority will be given to SECC members.
Guest Expectations
All guests are expected to comply with La Sierra University and SECC rules and safety protocols. Refusal to comply will result in guests being asked to leave without refund.
