The Quincy Civic Music Association is pleased to announce a special free bonus concert on Sunday, May 10 at Vermont Street Methodist Church featuring Sebastian Craciun Manning & Friends. Doors will open at 7pm, with the performance beginning at 7:30pm. The event is open to the public at no cost.
Founded in 1927, the Quincy Civic Music Association is the oldest cultural organization in Quincy dedicated to presenting professional entertainment. Each season, QCMA brings four to six concerts featuring accomplished musicians and dancers to the community.
This special performance will feature Sebastian Craciun Manning & Friends, an exceptional group of young string musicians:
Sebastian Manning, violin (Quincy, IL)
Romeo Vashishth, violin (Evanston, IL)
Neena Agrawal, viola (Chicago, IL)
Callia Murray, viola (Vernon Hills, IL)
At just 17, Sebastian Manning has already performed internationally across Europe and the United States and studied with renowned instructors including Almita Vamos. A dedicated chamber musician, he is a Grand Prize winner of the Barnett Chamber Music Competition and has participated in the Fischoff National Chamber Competition.
Violist Neena Agrawal, 16, is a fellow of the Chicago Musical Pathways Initiative and has performed as a soloist with multiple orchestras. She has earned recognition in numerous competitions, including the American Viola Society Competition, and is an active chamber musician featured on WFMT.
Violinist Romeo Vashishth, 19, studies at the Music Institute of Chicago Academy and has won top prizes in several international competitions. He is also an accomplished conductor and founder of the ESYO Chamber Orchestra.
Callia Murray, 16, studies at the Colburn Music Academy and is a two-time Young Arts winner. She has received national recognition through concerto and chamber music competitions and has attended prestigious programs including Tanglewood and the Perlman Music Program.
This performance offers a unique opportunity to experience rising stars in classical music in an intimate setting. Community members are encouraged to attend and enjoy an evening of exceptional artistry.
