Seattle Theatre Education Coalition Professional Development Day

Join us on June 3rd for the Seattle Theatre Education Coalition, Professional Development Day.

Hosted by Seattle Public Schools Visual & Performing Arts, the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, and the WA State Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction Arts Department through The Creative Advantage, this day of learning and collaboration will include workshops from local arts partners The 5th Avenue Theatre, Seattle Children’s Theatre, South End Stories / Intiman Theatre, and Seattle Repertory Theatre. Workshop curriculum will include foundations from experts in our field, informed by a vision session with Theatre Educators which occurred earlier this year at the STEC Summit, as well as focused on coalition building and next steps for broader theatre ed support.

The Seattle Theatre Education Coalition seeks to support theatre arts instructors, both in the classroom and those teaching within both internal and external extra-curricular programs, to identify ways we can work together to build a brighter future for our students, our industry, and our discipline at large. Arts educators, teaching artists, and/or other youth arts collaborators/mentors throughout Washington state, are encouraged to attend.

Tickets are FREE and the event includes LUNCH. Registration is required.
