Please join local PETA supporters for a peaceful protest at the University of Washington for its cruel primate research center (WaNPRC).For nearly 60 years, the University of Washington's National Primate Research Center has promised that confining and experimenting on macaques would bring about vaccines for dreadful human diseases such as HIV, TB, Zika and malaria. None of these vaccines have materialized and tens of thousands of macaques have died under appalling conditions. All materials (such as posters and leaflets) will be provided.
Please dress sharp in black bottoms and a black PETA t-shirt (we will provide one if you don’t already own one). Looking uniform helps our message come across much stronger!
Please refrain from bringing dogs as there may not be shade or a safe place for them to lie down during the protest.
Note that reserved parking will not be available, and please be prepared for the weather. Outreach events are a fun and effective way to help animals as well as meet local advocates, so be sure to invite others!
