The Lunar New Year Cookie Swap is a community-centered gathering that brings people together through baking, storytelling, and shared rituals. In a city known for the “Seattle Freeze,” this event intentionally says you belong here.

Hosted in Ballard, one of Seattle’s most historically Scandinavian neighborhoods, this event thoughtfully blends cultures, traditions, and modern Seattle identity. Kat Lieu, an Asian American baker, activist, and author, and Krystin Kalvøy, a Scandinavian American creator known as “The Brunette Who Bakes,” come together to celebrate Lunar New Year through cookies, coffee, and community.

This event also offers guests an exclusive first look at Artemis Coffee’s Spring Menu, launching publicly on March 1, creating a sense of preview, intimacy, and discovery.

At the end, Kat Lieu will host a book signing for her newly released cookbook, 108 Asian Cookies .
