About this Event
NEW WORKSHOP FOR FALL 2024!!
Welcome to the world of possibilities with UV resin and jewelry. The combination is endless and I have to warn you, totally ADDICTING!
Ultraviolet resin cures in minutes so your creations don't have to sit overnight or for endless hours to be ready. UV resin therefore is perfect for making small items like jewelry, key chains, small bookmarks, etc.
In this fast & fun resin workshop, you will be making a variety of jewelry pieces (pendants, earrings & brooches) and believe me, there are SO MANY options to create something special from the incredible selection in the studio.
Included in your registration are all the supplies to make the pieces indicated plus one chain for your pendants. There are a mesmerizing supply of decorative elements to use in your creations such as pressed flowers, glitter galore, diamond dust, german & reflective glass, embeds, rhinestones, tiny deer, snowflakes, aurora flakes, gingerbread men, tiny nail art in all kinds of Christmas images, and MORE! You can also use colorants for your resin such as alcohol ink, dyes and of course mica powder & color shift or opal powders.
Oh! And.....you will be given some blanks to practice on before you actually do your special pieces. This is something I always offer in my workshops and is a really great way to boost your confidence in using the product before you begin. These pieces can then be made in to fridge magnets (I have the magnets here for you too!)
The hardest part will be to narrow down what you want to do during our 3 hours together!
On hand will be 6 UV resin lights to be shared with the group and all tools you will need to get you started in this introductory workshop . If you have any mini treasures that you want to incorporate into your jewelry, please bring everything with you because it's absolutely amazing to create something personal and your Creative Coach, BerylAnne will be thrilled to assist you (ie: pieces of jewerly, little bits of lace or fabric, lock of hair, tiny photographs).
For those who are not familiar, alcohol ink is an acid-free, vividly-colored, alcohol-based dye that is liquid, translucent and fast drying. It is best used on non-porous surfaces (e.g. ceramics, synthetic papers, glass, etc). Versatile, unpredictable, mesmerizing, relaxing and affordable! Alcohol ink art spans across talent levels and experience because it's not really a medium that lends itself well to being controlled - which is why is perfect for beginners and established artists alike. There are always happy accidents that delight and surprise.
No matter what you think of your creativity, everyone will make something beautiful during this workshop; but keep in mind that creating art is not about producing a product rather it's about enjoying and learning through the process of unexpected discoveries !
Workshop is in the lower level so one set of stairs are involved (there is a banner for support).
Gloves and aprons are provided. Refreshments such as coffee, tea, pop, water and assorted prepackaged treats are here for you but you can bring something of your own choice as well.
Preferred registration by etransfer to [email protected] or by using this ticket agent, Eventbrite.
